Importance of Children in ancient Egypt:

In ancient Egypt children were known as a blessing. Most of the couples had four or five children. They were sometimes known as "the staff of old age" because sons and daughters took care of their families when they were old. Children were the heart of the family, if for any reason a couple couldn't have a child they would decide to adopt one.
Families looked forward to their children to grow up and support the families. No matter if it was a girl or a boy they were both treated equally; although there were more expectations from the sons.
