"Magic" of cosmetics to the ancient Egyptians:

Ancient Egyptians looked at cosmetics as some kind of magic and healing powers.
They took care of their skin by rubbing unguents and oils on it to protect it from a sunburn.
They also used kohl to darken and dominate their eyebrows. They also used it to colour eyeshadow. This helped them dominate the area beneath the eyelid and the brows.
Applied with a brush Red ochre was used for lips and cheeks.
Henna dye was used to colour their nails.
